Diya Aur Baati Hum: Chhavi to attempt suicide!
New Delhi: Get ready to witness some shocking twist in your favourite Star Plus’ show ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’. According to the reports, Chhavi played by Sehrish Ali will try to commit suicide in the forthcoming episodes.
A report on leading entertainment portal Tellychakkar says that it will be revealed that Chhavi would be under a heavy debt and would owe nearly 10 lakhs to some one. Now with Deepan losing, and she unable to face her family and ask them for help, she will rather want to end her life.
Tellychakkar quoted a source saying, “In a dramatic turnaround, Chhavi will almost hang herself to death when Sooraj (Anas Rashid) and Sandhya will come to her rescue.”
The show will air its last episode on August 15 this year.
Along with the low TRPs, lead pair Anas and Deepika’s tantrums are said to be the another reason behind the show going off air.
Times of India quoted a source saying, “At one point of time, the show was the top show on the channel, but in the last few months, the ratings haven’t been steady. Also, the makers are quite fed up of the tantrums of the lead pair of Deepika Singh and Anas Rashid who aren’t the best of friends. In fact, last year Deepika had even slapped Anas while they were shooting and it was after CINTAA stepped in that the matter was resolved. There is a show that’s being made on the life of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt that might be replacing the show,” reports TOI.
Producer of the show, Shashi Mittal also agreed that the ratings of the show have gone down but it still is one of the top shows.
“It’s like a family. Jaise family mein paanch saal saath rehne mein issues hote hain waise hi yahaan par bhi chhote-mote issues hote hain. There is nobody who is throwing tantrums. If the show goes off air, it’s all because of ratings. Even though there have been fluctuations in the ratings, our show continues to be in the top 10 shows. I haven’t received any official intimation from the channel. We have been hearing news about the show going off air for the last one year,” Shashi told the Times Of India.
