'Band Baajaa Bride' back with Season 7

Mumbai: Wedding reality TV show, "Band Baajaa Bride" is returning for its seventh season. It will focus on real brides dream makeovers in celebrity style with veteran fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The 13-episode series will be aired on NDTV Good Times. Sabyasachi, who plays mentor to the brides will create bridal ensembles, to make any girl feel like a celebrity on her big day. Some grooms will also get to wear their own Sabyasachi creations for the wedding. "The journey of 'Band Baajaa Bride' has been overwhelming. The heartening tales of extraordinary love stories and spectacular makeovers have touched a million hearts. This year our aim is to make each real bride transform into a celebrity bride and we have done this with Sabyasachi's amazing styling and our partners," Arati Singh, channel head, NDTV Good Times, said in a statement. Talking about his association with the channel and show, Sabyasachi says that "the seventh season of 'Band Baajaa Bride' is more than special, in many ways". "Each year, we receive huge number of requests from brides across India and selecting a handful is like a challenge bestowed on me. I am proud to present the lineup of brides and their stories this season," he said. The show will premiere on Friday.
