Ankita Lokhande NOT making Bollywood debut with 'Padmavati'

New Delhi: If the recent buzz is to be believed, popular television actress Ankita Lokhande has not been signed for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati'. Earlier, rumours were doing the rounds that Ankita would be making her Bollywood debut with Bhansali's star-studded film. However, Pinkvilla.com quoted a film's spokesperson as saying, "Ankita has not been signed for the film. Hope this puts an end to the speculation." This is not the first time when the name of ' Pavitra Rishta' star has been doing the rounds for a Bollywood movie. Earlier, it was said that she was considered for Salman Khan's 'Sultan' and Shah Rukh Khan's 'Om Shanti Om'. 'Padmavati', which stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, will depict the love story of a ruthless ruler Alauddin Khilji, who loses his heart to Mewar's Rani Padmavati. The film is slated to hit theatres on December 15, 2017.
