Jo Show Mein Hai Wo Bolenge Nahi: After Jennifer Mistry, TMKOC’s Monika Bhadoriya Rails Against Asit Modi

Monika Bhadoriya revealed that the show's producers were refusing to help her while her late mother was receiving cancer treatment.

New Delhi: Another cast member of the television show 'Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah' has come forward in the wake of Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal's charges of sexual misconduct, divulging details about the set's working conditions. Actor Monika Bhadoriya, who played the character Bawri in the show, alleges that after she left the project in 2019, the makers refused to pay her three-month paycheck.

Bhadoriya shared her experience on the set in an interview with Hindustan Times. She revealed that the show's producers were refusing to help her while her late mother was receiving cancer treatment.

The actor additionally stated that the show's producer, Asit Modi, never called to offer her condolences after her mother passed away.

“I was in a trauma but he only called me seven days after my mother’s death, asking me to report on the set. When I said I wasn’t in condition, his team said, ‘Hum aapko paisa de rahe hai, hum jab chahe aap ko khada hona padega chahe aap ki Mummy admit ho ya koi'," she said.

Itni gundagardi hai unke set pe. He (Asit) says ‘I’m a God’,” the actor added.

Regarding Modi's odd behaviour, she added that none of the present cast members would expose him.

“Jo show mein hai wo bolenge bhi nahi. He even made me sign the contract to not speak ill about them in the media. Jennifer (Mistry Bansiwal, actor) ji ne bhi baat nahi ki when others left the show. Jab unke saath jeezein hui toh wo boli,” she said.

The actor who portrayed Mrs. Roshan Sodi in the TV comedy, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, disclosed last week that she had left the production and accused producer Asit Modi of alleged sexual harassment at work. Asit Modi referred to all of the accusations as false and threatened to sue the actor.
