After 21 years, CID is going OFF-AIR

New Delhi: Sony Entertainment Television’s popular and old show C.I.D has got some bad news for their ardent fans. After entertaining the audience for consecutive 21 years, makers have now decided to shut the shop. If sources are to be believed, CID will air episodes for few more days. According to news in an entertainment portal, “CID will air its last episode on 27th October. It has completed 1546 episodes.” Show was taken off-air sometime back but then was brought back on popular demand. CID has some also given some memorable characters to the TV industry like Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman, Aditya Shrivastav and Dayanand Shetty as Senior Inspectors Abhijeet and Daya respectively and Dinesh Phadnis as Inspector Fredricks. Talking to TOI, Dayanand Shetty said, “Yes, it’s true. We were recently informed about this development and we stopped shooting for the show 4-5 days back. This Saturday telecast will be the last episode of CID.” Will you miss CID? Tell us your views in the comments section.
