Thandel Registers Biggest Opening For Naga Chaitanya, Sai Pallavi Together, Film Collects...

After an impressive advance bookings figure, 'Thandel' could end up becoming Chay and Sai Pallabi's biggest opener together, better than their last outing together 'Love Story'. 

Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi starrer 'Thandel' has been released in theatres worldwide. The Chandoo Mondeti film was released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. While audiences and critics have largely shared positive reviews about the film, the day 1 opening collection's buzz has been quite strong. After an impressive advance bookings figure, 'Thandel' could end up becoming Chay and Sai Pallavi's biggest opener together, better than their last outing together 'Love Story'. 

As per Andhra Box Office, 'Thandel' collected Rs. 6.36 cr at the box office. These numbers exclude the evening shows beginning from 7:00 PM. In Andhra Pradesh ad Telagana alone, the film has collected Rs. 5.49 cr. As per the same publication, Thandel's worldwide opening will be around Rs. 16 cr. 

 

Thandel's 2nd day advance figures are also impressive. As per the same site the film has already booked for Rs. 3.63 cr worth in ticket collections.

As per Sacnilk.com, the advance collection of the film in the Andhra and Telangana region is around Rs. 27.50 cr. In the Nizam area, the advance sales were Rs. 10.50 cr. In the north region, in the Hindi speaking belt, the film's advance collection was around Rs. 3.5 cr approx. As far as the overseas advance collection is concerned, the film collected Rs. 6 cr. The total advance collection was around Rs. 37 cr.

Real story behind Thandel

At its core, Thandel is based on the harrowing experiences of fishermen from Andhra Pradesh, including one fisherman, Chodipilli Musalayya, who found himself ensnared in a life-altering nightmare.
