Samantha Ruth Prabhu gives it back to trollers

In a video, Samantha is seen effortlessly doing pull-ups during her workout. Alongside it, she wrote a sharp message for her detractors:
“Here’s the deal. You don’t get to call me skinny, sickly or any of that crap unless you can do 3 of these first. If you can’t… Then read between the frikkin lines…”

The actor, who has been publicly navigating her battle with myositis, an autoimmune condition, has often had to address unsolicited remarks about her body. Just last year, she responded to a comment urging her to “bulk up,” explaining that her weight is closely tied to her treatment and recovery.

“If you guys must know, I am on a strict anti-inflammatory diet which is required for my condition, which prevents me from putting on weight, keeps in a certain weight bracket and keeps me in a sweet spot with my condition (myositis),” she had shared at the time, adding, “Stop judging. It’s 2024.”

Samantha's recent work

Despite her health challenges, Samantha has maintained a steady professional journey. After a brief hiatus from work due to a flare-up, she returned with a bang. Her recent projects include 'Kushi' (2024) opposite Vijay Deverakonda, and 'Citadel: Honey Bunny', the Indian segment of the international spy thriller series created by Raj & DK.

Samantha has also stepped into production with 'Subham', and is set to headline 'Maa Inti Bangaram', which she is also co-producing. Additionally, she will feature in Netflix’s upcoming drama 'Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom'.

Samantha opened up about her diagnosis in 2022 and has since emerged as a fierce advocate for owning one’s narrative, especially in the face of unwarranted commentary.
