Kichcha Sudeep Confirmed To Host Bigg Boss Kannada For Four More Seasons

Kichcha Sudeep surprised fans by announcing his return as the host of Bigg Boss Kannada for four more seasons. The actor addresses rumours and shares updates on upcoming projects.

After shocking fans last year by announcing Season 11 would be his final stint as host of 'Bigg Boss Kannada', actor Kichcha Sudeep has surprised everyone by agreeing to return for four additional seasons. The organisers of the popular reality show, aired on Colours Kannada, made the announcement during a press conference on Monday.

Sudeep expressed his enthusiasm about the comeback, stating, “The show must go on. We need to think from the perspective of the fans who love me as the host of the show.” He added that he appreciated the genuine approach that convinced him to return.

Addressing Reports About Conditions for Return

Recent rumours suggested that Sudeep had certain conditions for his return, particularly regarding contestant selection. However, the actor clarified his stance during the press event.

“Bigg Boss needs all kinds of characters. My only demand to the organisers was that they must have a clear idea behind picking contestants. As a host, I shouldn’t stress myself about certain participants while I ignore the rest,” he explained.

Past Differences and Upcoming Projects

Since the show’s debut in 2013, Sudeep has been the consistent face of 'Bigg Boss Kannada', including the mini season in 2021 and the OTT edition in 2022. Last year, he had announced his departure without revealing detailed reasons, writing, “This will be my last season as a host for BBK, and I truly believe that my decision will be respected by my colors and all those who have followed BB all these years.”

At the press meet, Sudeep clarified that his issues were never with the local organisers but stemmed from how the Kannada version was treated compared to other language editions. He shared, “I had around 12 meetings with the team to iron out kinks, under the condition that I can choose the date the show goes on floors. They wanted it to start at a certain date, and I have requested them to push it ahead by 3-4 weeks, as I am committed to trying and ensuring that I have a film release in 2025.”

Sudeep is currently working on the futuristic action drama 'Billa Ranga Baashaa' with director Anup Bhandari, following their successful collaboration on 'Vikrant Rona' (2022). The film is being produced by Primeshow Entertainment, known for 'HanuMan'.
