Kangana Ranaut, Vijay Win Best Actors' Awards At Osaka Tamil International Film Festival

Tamil actor Vijay for 'Master' and Kangana's performance in 'Thalaivii' as the titular role of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha were honoured with Osaka Tamil International Film Festival

New Delhi: Actors Vijay and Kangana Ranaut have been felicitated with the awards of Best Actor( male & female) respectively at the Osaka Tamil International Film Festival(OTIFF) in Japan. The two actors were recognised and honoured for their performances in films released in 2021. Tamil actor Vijay for 'Master' and Kangana's performance in 'Thalaivii' as the titular role of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister  J. Jayalalithaa. 'Sarpatta Parambarai' won the Best Tamil film award.

Kangana Ranaut shared her excitement post the recognition and wrote on Instagram, "Thank you for this honour… Thalaivii is indeed a piece of my heart… many thanks for this acknowledgement.”

In the Best Film category, 'Sarpatta Parambarai' won the Best Film award and Pa Ranith was declared Best Director for the sports period drama.

Yuvan Shankar Raja won the Best Music Director award for 'Maanaadu' and Theni Eswar won the Best Director of Photography award( Karnan). Venkat Prabhu, won the Best Screenplay Writer awards( Maanaadu).

Best Villain: Vijay Sethupathi (Master)

Best Editor: Pravin KL (Maanaadu)

Best Stunt Director: Dillip Subbarayan (Sulthan)

Best Art Director: Tha Ramalingam (Sarpatta Parambarai)

Best Sound Designer: T Uday Kumar (Aranmanai 3)

Best VFX team: Nxgen Media (Teddy)

Best Film: Sarpatta Parambarai

Critically acclaimed film of the Year: Mandela

Best Director: Pa Ranjith (Sarpatta Parambarai)

Best Music Director: Yuvan Sankar Raja (Maanaadu)

Best Director of Photography: Theni Eswar (Karnan)

Best Screenplay Writer: Venkat Prabhu (Maanaadu)

Best Choreographer: Dinesh Kumar (Master – Vaathi Coming)

Best Production House: YNOT Studios, Reliance Entertainment, Open Window Productions and Wishberry Films (Mandela)
