New Delhi: Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya's engagement ceremony on August 8, 2024 was all about simplicity and tradition. While Sobhita has said that she loved the full-vibrance and colour without minimalism during weddings, her fans have appreciated her simplicity throughout. Now, as the wedding festivities begin, Sobhita has begun sharing glimpses into what a traditional Telugu wedding looks like.

As Sobhita shared pictures from her Godhuma Raayi ceremony, fans couldn't help but appreciate her simple Kanjivaram silk saree with green borders. As per a Pinkvilla report, the saree was a gift from her soon-to-be mother-in-law Lakshmi Daggubati. Instead of a designer outfit, Sobhita chose to wear the saree instead of a luxury designer outfit.

Sharing a glimpse from the ceremony on Instagram, Sobhita wrote, "Godhuma Raayi Pasupu danchatam 🦜🪷♥️ And so it begins!"

For the ceremony, Sobhita paired her rich silk saree with a half-sleeved beige blouse with golden borders. Sobhita wore a traditinal golden necklace, earrings, red bangles and a gold kada( bracelet) which complimented her overall look. 

Sobhita styled her hair in a middle-parted loose braid adorned with gajra and a minimal makeup look. Sobhita went with a black eyeliner, kajal, some eyeshadow and a nude lipstick. The makeup suited the day-look attire very well.

Sobhita perfectly aced the 'Pasupu Danchatam' tradition, a Telugu wedding ritial, typically perfomed by women from both the groom and bride's families, which involves grinding the turmeric paste.

Naga Chaitanya, Sobhita Dhulipala engagement

It was Naga Chaitanya's father and actor Nagarjuna who first announced the news of his son's engagement to Sobhita on X. 

On the work front, Sobhita Dhulipala was last seen in the recently released OTT film 'Love, Sitara'. Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya is gearing up for the release of 'Thandel' which co-stars Sai Pallavi in the lead.
