MNS chief Raj Thackeray has in very harsh words slammed Salman Khan today over his statement "Pakistani artistes are just artistes and not terrorists.." saying .. "Informer ho sakte hai ye kalakar Yaha ki info waha de sakte hai Pak jaye waha work permit le salman Aur salman waha shoot kare. Salman samjhe ye film ke gaane nahi hai hamaare jawan asali goli kha rahe hai Nakli nahi" Shiv Sena also reacted saying that "...he should discuss with father Salim Khan before making any statement and Salim should lock his son inside house for 8 days" Salman had come out in support of Pakistani artistes saying they are not terrorists. "Pakistani artistes are just artistes and not terrorists. Terrorism and art are two different subjects. They come with proper visa and the government gives them a work permit," Salman said, when asked about his take on banning actors from Pakistan following the Uri attack. Thackeray, whose party had issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Pakistani artistes last week, said these actors had refused to condemn the Uri attack. "Is there a dearth of talent in India that we need to borrow artistes from Pakistan? These people are only concerned about their movies doing well in Pakistan... The bullets that our soldiers face are real, they are not filmy," Thackeray told ABP News. The tension between the two nations has resulted in the cancellation of Pakistani singers Shafqat Amanat Ali and Atif Aslam's concerts in Bengaluru and Gurgaon. Indian Motion Picture Producers Association has also passed a resolution to ban Pakistani actors from the industry. However, they said the ban will not affect the films ready to release. Pakistani actor Fawad Khan will next be seen in Karan Johar's upcoming release "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil". He has an extended cameo in the movie besides other projects in Bollywood.
