Vistara Imposes Travel Ban On Kunal Kamra Till April 27
Vistara Airlines has banned stand up comedian Kunal Kamra from flying till April 27.
Mumbai: Full service carrier Vistara on Friday (March 13) barred stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra from taking its flights till April 27, an airline official told news agency PTI. The airlines took the decision after Kunal was found "guilty" for alleged misbehaviour by an internal committee of IndiGo.
Kunal Kamra took to Twitter to inform his followers about the travel ban. He tweeted, "Air vistara has also banned me now till the 27th April, following orders like they show... at a time where no one can fly, all I want to say is, neither am I sorry nor am I surprised, nor am I suffering."
The ban on Kamra comes into effect immediately, the official told PTI.
For the uninitiated, IndiGo had banned Kunal Kamra on January 28 from flying with the airline for six months for allegedly heckling a TV news anchor. The airline later reduced the period to three months.
Kamra had served a legal notice to IndiGo over the flying ban. He demanded a compensation of Rs 25 lakh from IndiGo for the mental pain and losses incurred by him on account of the cancellation of his scheduled shows in India as well as abroad. The comedian also demanded that the airline revoked his suspension and tender an unconditional apology.

Carriers like Air India, GoAir and SpiceJet had also imposed travel restrictions on Kunal after IndiGo's ban. However, Vistara had not banned him from travelling in its flight at that time.
