Veteran Actor Viju Khote Aka 'Kaalia' From 'Sholay' Passes Away In Mumbai

Best known for his roles in films like 'Sholay' and 'Andaz Apna Apna', actor Viju Khote is no more.

Veteran actor Viju Khote, younger brother of veteran actress Shubha Khote, is no more. Viju Khote, who is best known for playing the role of 'Kaalia' in Amitabh Bachchan & Dharmendra's cult film 'Sholay', reportedly passed away today (30th September) early morning due to kidney failure at the age of 78. The actor breathed his last at his home in Mumbai. The actor's last rites will be held today at Electric Crematorium, Chandanwaaadi, Girgaon. The talented actor made his film debut with 'Ya Malak' in the year 1964 and went on to feature in various popular films like 'Sholay', 'Andaz Apna Apna', 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak', 'Nagina', 'Qurbani', 'Karz' among others. In his acting career, Viju Khote has over 300 Hindi as well as Marathi films to his credit.
