Udta Punjab Box Office Report: Gets 5th Highest Opening & Earns 10.05 crores on First Day!

The Box office report of Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor & Diljit Dosanjh starrer 'Udta Punjab' is out! The film has raked in 10.05 crores and has become the fifth highest opener this year. Interestingly, the movie also broke the record of 'Haider' which earned nearly 6-7 crores on its first day. India biz.'' https://twitter.com/taran_adarsh/status/744069689463181312 After its long tussle with the censor board, “Udta Punjab” opened at the theatres on Friday to a lukewarm response, especially in single-screen cinema halls. But the controversial film appears to have left an impression on the minds of moviegoers. The film has done relatively well in multi-plexes. Also: SONG OUT! ‘Ikk Kudi’ from ‘Udta Punjab’ sung by Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh The film, starring Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh, got a wide release in around 2,000 screens.The distributors might not be elated with the initial response, but movie-goers have been full of praise about the Abhishek Chaubey directorial. With its steady pace, and continued growth of revenue the film is expected to collect a good amount by the end of this weekend.
