Tiku Weds Sheru: Kangana Ranaut Welcomes Nawazuddin Siddiqui Onboard For Her Digital Debut As Producer

Kangana Ranaut has revealed the main lead of 'Tiku Weds Sheru', which will mark her digital debut as a producer.

Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut, who is all set to debut as a producer with ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’, has officially announced the lead star of her upcoming film. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, known for his acting prowess, will be seen playing the male lead in the flick. Movie buffs will get to see Kangana and Nawaz for the very first time in 'Tiku Weds Sheru'. The 'Queen' actress will helm the hat of a producer for her first project in the OTT space. 

The 'Panga' star posted a photo of Nawazuddin on social media along with the caption, "Welcome to the team, sir." She didn’t divulge details about the other actors of ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’. Check out her post!

The official Instagram handle of Manikarnika Films shared the update and informed that the cast and crew will start shooting for the project soon. 

“The best actor of our generation joins team Tiku weds Sheru. We are privileged to have found our Lion #TikuwedsSheru. Filming begins soon.”  

Fans have flooded the comments section with their messages. One user wrote, "Two of the finest actors of the country, Nawaz and Kangana" while another commented, "Mr Nawazuddin Siddiqui has signed the film means it is going to be rocking."

‘Tiku Weds Sheru’ is touted as a love story and satire. The makers are yet to announce the release date. Sources suggest that Kangana was about to make the film with Irrfan Khan; however, Nawazuddin will essay the character of the male lead after Khan's demise. 

On the professional front, Kangana will be next seen in ‘Thalaivi’. She is playing the role of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in the highly anticipated flick. The biographical drama was slated to hit the silver screens on April 23; however, the makers postponed the release in the wake of the second wave of COVID-19.

The National Award-winning actress also has ‘Dhaakad’, ‘Tejas’, ‘Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Dida’ and ‘Emergency’ in her kitty.  She is playing the role of a spy in 'Dhaakad', which will also feature Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta.
