'Thugs of Hindostan' TRAILER: Big B, Aamir, Katrina, Fatima's action drama promises to be the PERFECT Diwali release

The trailer of ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ starring Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh is finally out. After introducing the main characters and creating anticipation, the makers have released the trailer of the film based on the novel Confessions of a Thug by Philip Meadows Taylor. The 3:38 minute video takes us to the era of 1795 when East India Company came to India for trade. We are told in the trailer than the British are ruling India but a gang of thugs didn’t want to become their slaves. The thugs led by Khudabaksh (Amitabh Bachchan) act as stiff challenge to the British. We also see Zafira (Fatima Sana Shaikh), who seem to be an excellent archer going by the trailer. Khudabaksh’s followers fondly call him Azaad and the British plan to remove Azaad from their path. This is where Firangi (Aamir Khan) comes into the picture. The British hires another thug (Firangi) to target Azaad but little they know that he is two-timing them. Katrina kaif, who plays Suraiyya in the film, also makes a fleeting appearance in the trailer. The trailer ends with a fight sequence between Firangi and Azaad. Will Firangi betray the gang of thugs?
