The Suicide Squad Trailer: James Gunn's Superhero Film Promises To Take You On A Roller Coaster Ride
Margot Robbie aka Harley Quinn stole the limelight with her antics in the trailer of 'The Suicide Squad'.
James Gunn’s ‘The Suicide Squad’ has been making waves ever since the project was announced. The superhero flick, which is the sequel to ‘Suicide Squad’, has introduced several new characters in the second instalment. Movie buffs are quite excited for the upcoming film as it will feature a star-studded cast in the form of Margot Robbie, John Cena, Joel Kinnaman, Sylvester Stallone and Idris Elba.
The trailer of ‘The Suicide Squad’ promised to take the audience on a roller coaster ride. James Gunn, who successfully helmed ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ and its sequel, has retained his own flavour in his recent film.
‘The Suicide Squad’ will focus on the villains-turned-heroes, who have been assigned the responsibility to destroy a Nazi-era prison which held different prisoners and conducted experiments on them.
We couldn’t help but noticed how the makers incorporated the COVID-19 pandemic reference in one of the scenes. Harley Quinn once again stole the limelight with her craziness. She tells ‘Thinker’ that if he coughs without covering his mouth, he will die. Margot managed to steal the limelight with power-packed performance again. This is just a trailer and we can't wait for the film.
Former WWE champion John Cena, who is playing the role of Peacemaker, added a pinch of humour in the film, which is full of high-octane sequences.
Joel Kinnaman and Margot Robbie are reprising their respective roles of Rick Flag and Harley Quinn in ‘Suicide Squad 2’. The likes of Idris Elba (Bloodsport), Alice Braga (SolSoria), John Cena (Peacemaker) and Sylvester Stallone (King Shark) have joined the star cast in the new instalment.
The trailer has revealed the main villain in ‘The Suicide Squad’. Guess what? The antagonist is none other than Starro. The giant star fish will pose big problems for the ‘Suicide Squad’, who will fight against all the odds to save the world.
'The Suicide Squad' is slated to hit the silver screens in the United States on August 6, 2021. It will also release on the streaming platform HBO Max on the same date.
