The announcement of  'Hera Pheri 3' has created a massive buzz among fans who have been waiting for the longest time. As Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan reunite with the OG cast of the comedy film franchise that has become a cult favourite over the years, fans have been waiting for additional news regarding the casting of the film. And, now it seems that besides Akshay Kumar, Suneil Shetty and Paresh Rawal who will probably reunite for the film, will see an interesting cast addition from the earlier films. 

When Akshay Kumar wished director Priyadarshan on his birthday, the veteran filmmaker offered to direct 'Hera Pheri 3', and teased fans with a return. Now, Tabu took to her Instagram handle to share her excitement for the film. Sharing Akshay's birthday post for Priyadarshan on her story, the 'Crew' actress wrote, "Of course, the cast won't be complete without me @priyadarshan.official.”

About Hera Pheri 1 & Hera Pheri 2

For those unaware, Tabu played a key role in 'Hera Pheri', which starred Akshay, Suneil and Paresh Rawal in the lead. The first of the comedy franchise film also saw several supporting cast members, and a multitude of talented artists coming together. A complete entertainer of the genre, 'Hera Pheri' released in 2000 and was a big blockbuster. 

The second part of the film, 'Hera Pheri 2' released in 2006. The film was directed by the late filmmaker Neeraj Vohra. The second part starred Akshay, Paresh, Suniel, Bipasha Basu, Rajpal Yadav and Rimi Sen in key roles. 

While no official announcement has come for 'Hera Pheri 3', there is enough evidence that a third 'Hera Pheri' film will finally happen, especially after the candid conversation between Akshay and Priyadarshan on the latter's birthday.

Akshay had wished Priyadarshan in a special manner with a note on Instagram that read, "Happy Birthday, Priyan Sir! What better way to celebrate than by spending the day on a haunted set, surrounded by ghosts...both real and unpaid extras? Thank you for being a mentor, and the only person who can make chaos look like a masterpiece. May your day be filled with fewer retakes. Wishing you a fantastic year ahead!"

Reacting to the post, Priyadarshan teased fans with an update, stating, "Thank you so much for your wishes, Akshay Kumar. In return I would like to give you a gift, I am willing to do Hera Pheri 3, are you ready Akshay?”
