Anubhav Sinha's 'Thappad' is a hard-hitting drama which highlights the unjust norms of the society when it comes to domestic violence in a relationship.

New Delhi: The first look poster of Anubhav Sinha’s Thappad had taken the internet by a storm where Taapsee Pannu’s agitated mien truly gave away a strong message, “Thappad: Bas itni si baat?”. The makers have released the trailer on Friday (January 31) and it will make you excited for the film. Thappad is definitely the most hard-hitting and thought-provoking film of the year. The trailer captures the journey of a woman, role essayed by Taapsee who fights for justice after a domestic violence attack by her husband. Giving a strong message with promising performances, the trailer is definitely a must watch. The film is a tight slap to those who believe that 'Pyaar Mein Sab Chalta Hai' (Everything is allowed in love). The official handle of T-series posted the trailer of 'Thappad' along with the caption, "Thappad is a relationship story of Amrita whose seemingly perfect life is shattered with a slap. But is one slap enough to question what a relationship stands for? Should a slap shake up her trust or is a Thappad 'Bas Itni Si Baat'?'' The dialogue of the film, "Us Ek Thappad Se Mujhe Saari Unfair Cheeze Saaf Saaf Dikhne Lag Gayi Jisko Main Undekha Karke Move On Karte Ja Rahi Thi," will leave a strong impact on you. Touted to be a film which is this year’s Pink, Thappad is all set to continue the league of highlighting gut-wrenching subjects. Anubhav Sinha’s Article 15 is one critically acclaimed film and was inspired by real-life events. The trailer has received a good response on social media.
