Sushant Singh Rajput Suicide: Mumbai Police Questions Yash Raj Films' Casting Director Shanoo Sharma

Mumbai Police has recorded the statement of 25 people so far in connection with late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide case.

New Delhi: The untimely demise of Bollywood Sushant Singh Rajput has left everyone teary-eyed. Fans are mourning the loss of their favourite actor by paying him tribute on social media. They have shared throwback pictures and videos of the late actor on Twitter and Instagram. The suicide case is currently being investigated by Mumbai Police. The police officers have recorded the statement of 25 people in connection with the ‘Raabta’ actor’s suicide case. Shanoo Sharma, who is the casting director at Yash Raj Films, was spotted at the Bandra Police station on Saturday (June 27). She worked with Sushant in films like 'Shudh Desi Romance' and 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!'. Yash Raj Films submitted Sushant’s contract copies last week to the police for investigation. Aashish Singh, Director-Original Films at Netflix and Ashish Patil recorded their statements on Friday (June 26). “Rajput signed a contract with talent Management Company of Patil's production house. The contract was terminated in 2015. The police received contract copy signed with Yash Raj but we have not received the copy of a terminated of contract," DCP Abhishek Trimukhe told ANI.
Mumbai Police has quizzed the likes of Sushant’s rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, ‘Dil Bechara’ director Mukesh Chhabra, his roommate Siddharth Pithani and producer Sandip Ssingh. Talking about Sushant, the actor’s last film ‘Dil Bechara’ will premiere directly on Disney+ Hotstar on July 24. The makers made the announcement on Thursday (June 25) by releasing a statement. The film co-starring Sanjana Sanghi and Saif Ali Khan is the Hindi adaptation of John Green’s ‘The Fault in our Stars’. Movie buffs are quite excited to watch the film on the OTT platform as it will be available for non-subscribers as well. Earlier in the day, Sushant Singh Rajput’s family issued a statement on the 13th day of his demise. They said that they will turn the ‘Pavitra Rishta’ actor’s childhood home in Patna into a memorial. His family members have also decided to set up Sushant Singh Rajput Foundation to support young talent in the field of science, cinema and sports.
