New Delhi: The much-anticipated announcement from the Dharma banner is finally here. Karan Johar announced the much-talked about Janhvi Kapoor, Varun Dhawan film with a short teaser video unveiling the title of the film 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari'. Helmed by Shashank Khaitan, the film will be starring the 'Bawaal' cast Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead.

The Dharma banner shared the short teaser video with a caption on Instagram that read, "Your ☀ Sanskari is on his way to get his 🌱 Kumari! This love story wrapped with entertainment is coming to the big screens!💟 #SunnySanskariKiTulsiKumari in cinemas, 18th April 2025!"

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh also shared the announcement on his official X handle and wrote, "KARAN JOHAR - VARUN DHAWAN - JANHVI KAPOOR - SHASHANK KHAITAN: ‘SUNNY SANSKARI KI TULSI KUMARI’ ANNOUNCED… 18 APRIL 2025 RELEASE… #KaranJohar, director #ShashankKhaitan and #VarunDhawan collaborate for the third time, after #HumptySharmaKiDulhania and #BadrinathKiDulhania.”

Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor were last seen in 'Bawaal'. The film was a major flop and garnered much criticism post its Holocaust portrayal. 

Earlier, there had also been reports that Janhvi Kapoo had replaced Alia Bhatt in the 'Dulhaniya' films. However, the rumours were dispelled. Now, it seems that a completely new film from the makers of 'Dulhaniya' has been announced.
