In the announcement video, Sunny Deol's voiceover states, "27 saal pehle ek fauji ne vada kiya tha ki vo vapas aayega. Ussi vaade ko poora karne, Hindustan ki mitti ko apna salaam kehne, aa raha hai (27 years ago, a soldier made a promise that he would return. To fulfil that promise, and to salute the soil of India, he is returning.)"
The video concludes with the iconic track "Sandese Aate Hain" by Roopkumar Rathod and Sonu Nigam from the original film.

About Border 2
According to rumours, the story is placed in the same setting at the Battle of Longewala and will start shooting sometime in October this year.
'Border 2' will be directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, Nidhi Dutta, and directed by Anurag Singh.
