RRR Becomes The Fastest Indian Movie To Enter The JPY300 Million Club In Japan

RRR, which had its premiere in Japan on October 21, is currently the second-highest-grossing Indian film in the nation.

'RRR', SS Rajamouli's masterpiece that was released months ago, continues to set records. The period action movie, which first premiered in Japan on October 21, is now the second-highest-grossing Indian movie in the country. The movie has surpassed 'Baahubali 2'—another smash hit from Rajamouli—in popularity.

According to a poster shared by box office tracker T2BLive on Twitter, RRR reportedly made JPY305 million, which is around Rs 17.9 crore, in 34 days and saw over 2 lakh viewers.

"#RRR Became The fastest Indian film to earn 300M+ ¥ and an all time ranking of no. 2 Indian film, in Japan," the tweet read.

The movie, starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, premiered in 209 theatres and 31 Imax locations throughout 44 cities and prefectures in Japan.

With a JPY400 million box office total, Rajinikanth's 'Muthu', which released 24 years ago, continues to be the highest-grossing Indian film of all time in Japan.

'RRR', which earned over ₹1000 crore in global box office revenue during its theatrical run, was recently screened at the TCL Chinese Theatre and garnered a roaring reception from the crowd.

Based on the lives of two real heroes and well-known revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, 'RRR' is a fictional story that takes place in the pre-independence era of the 1920s. Jr. NTR portrayed Bheem in the movie, and Ram Charan played Ram.
