Shehzada Box Office Collection Day 2: Kartik Aaryan Continues To Hold Steady, Mints Rs 12 Crore

'Shehzada' has earned Rs 6 crore on both of its subsequent days.

New Delhi: 'Shehzada', starring Kartik Aaryan, is off to a rocky start at the box office. The Hindi movie, which earned Rs 6 crore on its opening day, has earned Rs 6 crore on both of its subsequent days, matching its first-day total. 'Shehzada' hasn't experienced any growth this weekend, though, and needs a strong Sunday to have any influence at the box office.

'Freddy' (2022), the lead actor's last movie, premiered on Disney+ Hotstar in December, while 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' (2022), his previous movie, was a smash hit with over Rs 180 crore in box office earnings.

Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh shared the recent numbers,"#Shehzada falls flat… Fails to register *major* growth/jump on Day 2, despite #MahaShivratri holiday… The journey ahead [weekdays] appears to be unsteady, since the trending over the weekend is lacklustre… Fri 6 cr, Sat 6.65 cr. Total: ₹ 12.65 cr [+/-]. #India biz."

A buy one, get one free ticket promotion was also launched by the producers, although it wasn't as well received as they had intended. It would be unexpected, according to trade analysts, if the Hindi adaptation made less than Rs 20 crore.

The film is a remake of the 2020 Telugu movie 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo', starring Allu Arjun, and was directed by Rohit Dhawan.

In the days leading up to the movie's release, the actor, who is also a producer on it, did a lot of promotion. He toured the country with co-star Kriti Sanon, visiting campuses, shopping centres, and other promotional events to meet with fans. Along with Sachin Khedekar and Ronit Roy, Shehzada also stars Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Rajpal Yadav, and Ronit.
