New Delhi: 'Barbie', Greta Gerwig's fantasy drama, has been met with a variety of reactions from viewers. Mira Kapoor, the wife of Shahid Kapoor, just viewed the film and shared her thoughts online on Instagram. She believed that the song and dance portions in the Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling movie were inferior to those found in Bollywood movies.

Taking to her Instagram story, Mira shared a picture of lead actors Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie doing a dance sequence in 'Barbie' and wrote, "Hollywood this, Hollywood that. Well, Hollywood can’t do song-and-dance like Bollywood can!” Bollywood films are popular for their song and dance numbers and Mira's husband and actor Shahid Kapoor enjoys a huge fandom courtesy his impeccable dancing skills.

Barbie was released concurrently with Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer, a sombre biography of the inventor of the atomic bomb that deals with a completely different theme. The renowned fashion doll is brought to life on screen for the first time in the live-action movie, Barbie. Following an existential crisis, the movie follows Barbie and Ken on a quest of self-discovery. Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie play the lead while America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, and Will Ferrell are among the ensemble cast members in the movie.

In India, the movie has enjoyed a respectable level of success. It has made Rs. 21.15 crore in four days.

The worldwide popularity of ‘Barbie’ has attracted viewers from all walks of life. The Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling movie has been universally praised, but much debate has centred on whether or not it is better than ‘Oppenheimer.’ On Monday, TV actress Juhi Parmar resorted to Instagram to criticise Barbie's creators. In an open letter, she blasted the creators and said that she was out of there in about 10-15 minutes due to its "inappropriate language and sexual connotations."
