'I Have Been Cheated By Them': Shabana Azmi Accuses Alcohol Delivery Platform Of Fraud

Shabana Azmi alleged that an alcohol delivery platform cheated her and didn't deliver the product after she made an online payment.

Mumbai: Veteran Bollywood actress Shabana Azmi took to social media to inform her followers that she was conned by an alcohol delivery platform. She alleged that she made an online payment to Living Liquidz but didn’t get the product. She claimed that the alcohol delivery platform stopped picking up her calls after she tried to contact them. 

The ‘Arth’ actress accused the delivery platform of duping her and not delivering the product despite receiving the amount. She tweeted, "BEWARE I have been cheated by them. #Living Liquidz I paid upfront and when the ordered item didn't turn up they stopped picking up my calls."

Shabana shared details of her transaction but didn’t mention the amount. She also didn’t reveal if she has filed a complaint against the delivery platform in the online payment scam.   

Several Twitters users responded to Shabana’s post, asking her to file a complaint in the matter. They informed her that numbers displayed for liquor storess on Google are ‘99 percent fake’.  

One user said that he didn't face any issue while ordering from the above mentioned delivery platform. His tweet read, "I have been ordering from #Living Liquidz App and have always made payment on delivery. They delivered whatever I ordered till date. No complaints."

On the professional front, the 70-year-old actress will be next seen in ‘Sheer Qorma’. The film also stars Swara Bhasker and Divya Dutta in lead roles.

Celebs like Akshaye Khanna, Karan Singh Grover, Nargis Fakhri, Mreenal Deshraj and Mohammad Nazim have fallen prey to online frauds in recent years. 

Karan Singh Grover, who was last seen as Mr. Bajaj on 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2', lodged a complaint with police after money was siphoned off from his bank account. He claimed that he became a victim of Nigerian online lottery fraud.
