Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were overjoyed to see the trailer of '83' projected onto Dubai's Burj Khalifa.
New Delhi: Ranveer Singh starrer '83', which is based on India's 1983 Cricket World Cup victory, has been making waves ever since the trailer was unveiled. The sports drama will showcase team India's memorable journey as the underdogs, who defeated biggies to win the coveted World Cup. Ranveer, Deepika Padukone and Kabir Khan are currently busy promoting their film ahead of its release in the theatres.
A video of Ranveer and Deepika is doing the rounds on social media wherein they can be seen beaming with joy while looking at the trailer of '83', which was projected onto the Burj Khalifa. Cricket legends including Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev and Mohinder Amarnath were also present at the venue. Our favorite cricketers got emotional after watching the trailer of '83', which was showcased on the world's tallest building.

'83' Release Date, Cast
The much-awaited flick also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Boman Irani, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk and other actors in key roles. The film, which has been directed by Kabir Khan, will hit the silver screens on December 24, 2021. '83 will release in multiple languages including Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil.
While Ranveer Singh will be seen as former Indian Cricket team Captain Kapil Dev, Deepika Padukone is essaying the role of his on-screen wife in the movie. The 'Piku' actress is also one of the co-producers of '83', which got delayed twice due to the COVID-19 crisis.
