Makers Of Ranveer Singh Starrer '83' Issue Clarification Statement Over Cheating Controversy: Report
In lieu of the cheating complaint filed against the makers of the film '83', a statement has been issued by them offering clarification on the issue.
New Delhi: Bollywood's much-awaited sports drama '83' starring Ranveer Singh, is all set for its release. Directed by Kabir Khan, the movie portrays the historic win of the Indian cricket team in the 1983 World Cup Tournament. While the audience is all excited about the film's release, the makers of film recently landed in trouble as a UAE-based finance company filed a cheating complaint against them before a magistrate court in Mumbai.
In the complaint filed through Advocate Rizwan Siddiqui, Vibri Media and its directors were named as the accused who have now issued a statement offering clarification on the issue.
STATEMENT ABOUT FILM '83' LEGAL CONTROVERSY
Vishnu Induri's spokesperson offered clarification on the legal hassle around the upcoming film '83'. The statement reads:
"In the wake of the ongoing reports of a legal case filed against the makers of the upcoming film 83, on behalf of Vibri Media, we would like to deny the claims of the complainant and clarify the makers of 83 are in no way concerned with the case.
The complaint of Future Resources FZE against the producers of the film 83 is false, baseless and motivated. Future Resources FZE is a minority shareholder in Vibri Media, there have been internal disputes between the promoters of Vibri Media Pvt Ltd and the complainant, which are pending in various courts. The complainant Future Resources FZE has been restrained by the Hon’ble Telangana high court from interfering with the movie 83 in any manner."

The statement further read: "This action of the complainant prior to the release of the film is motivated, a publicity gimmick and constitutes contempt of court for which Vibri Media Pvt Ltd is availing its legal remedies against the Complainant. The film 83 and the producers are in no way concerned with this and they reserve their right to initiate appropriate action against Future Resources FZE."
The film '83' has a stellar starcast with actor Ranveer Singh essaying the rol;e of former cricketer Kapil Dev. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Amy Virk, Harrdy Sandhu and Deepika PRanveer Singh’s '83'.
