'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect' Trailer: R Madhavan's Film Looks Promising; Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar Call Him 'Maverick'

R Madhavan is playing the role of a scientist in 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect', which is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan.

R Madhavan starrer ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ has been making waves ever since the project was announced. Madhavan, known for his acting prowess, is playing the role of a scientist in the biographical drama film. Interestingly, the ‘3 Idiots’ star has donned several hats for the flick, which is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan. He has written, directed and produced ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’.

The trailer of the much-awaited film was finally released on April 1. As expected, the 2 minutes 45 seconds video manages to keep you engaged and hooked on to the screen.

The ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ actor is playing the role of Nambi Narayanan, a former ISRO scientist and aerospace engineer, who was accused of espionage. Madhavan’s uncanny resemblance with Nambi will definitely capture your attention.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya Sivakumar were seen in special appearances in the film. The movie will focus on the story of Nambi, who was falsely charged with espionage.

Give Madhavan any role and he would ace it like a pro. If the trailer is anything to go by, the film will turn out to be a firecracker.

Several tinsel town celebs lauded R Madhavan for attempting something different. Priyanka Chopra tweeted, "Maddy! You maverick... trust you to pick such an intriguing subject to produce, write, direct and act in! ‘Rocketry’ looks amazing... all the very best my friend."

Farhan Akhtar, who will be next seen in 'Toofan', sent his good wishes to the actor and his team. "Congratulations @ActorMadhavan looks like you’ve fully immersed yourself in this one .. Wish you and your team all the success with it," the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' star wrote on the micro-blogging site.

 ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ will simultaneously release in six languages including Hindi, English, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. The film also stars Simran', Rajit Kapur, , Ravi Raghavendra, Misha Ghoshal and Bijou Thaangjam in key roles.
