'Can't Wait...': Parineeti Congratulates Priyanka Chopra As She Features In BAFTA's 'Supporting Actress' Longlist
Priyanka Chopra responded to her cousin Parineeti Chopra in the cutest way possible. The 'Quantico' star has made it to BAFTA 2021 'Supporting Actress' longlist.
The longlists for BAFTA 2021 have been finally announced. Guess what? Our very own ‘Desi girl’ aka Priyanka Chopra has been nominated in this year’s BAFTA ‘Best Supporting Actress’ longlist for her performance in the film. Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra took to social media to express her excitement and give a shout out to her cousin. She tweeted, “Ladies and gentlemen MEET MY BAFTA LONGLIST SISTER! I meaaaaan Can’t wait for this to happen! @priyankachopra #TheWhiteTiger.”
Priyanka responded to Parineeti’s tweet and sent her love to the ‘Ishaqzaaade’ actress. Piggy Chops wrote, “You’re a cutie tishuuuu! Love you.” She added ‘fingers crossed’ emoji while posting the tweet on the micro-blogging site. Just like her fans, we also hope PeeCee advances to the second round and bags the coveted award. Rahmin Bahrani’s ‘The White Tiger’, which released in selected theatres last month, has bagged several nominations in the longlist of British Academy Film And Television Awards 2021. The movie has been nominated in categories like Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Editing and Best Cinematography.
Adarsh Gourav, who played the role of Balram Halwai in ‘The White Tiger’, has been nominated in the category of Best Actor.
According to the official website of BAFTA, 15 stars in the category of ‘Best Actress In A Supporting Role’ have progressed to the second round of voting. Only six actresses will get nominated in the category. The general voting membership will decide the winner in the particular category in round three. The BAFTA 2021 nominations will be announced on March 9, 2021.
Priyanka received good reviews from the critics and fans for her performance as ‘Pinky’ in ‘The White Tiger’. The movie, which premiered on January 22 on Netflix, is the official adaptation of Aravind Adiga's novel of the same name. On the professional front, the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actress has ‘Text For You’ and ‘Matrix 4’ in pipeline.
Talking about Parineeti Chopra, the ‘Kesari’ actress is gearing up for the release of ‘The Girl On The Train’ on Netflix. The mystery thriller will premiere on the OTT platform on February 26. The makers of the film have recently unveiled the trailer of ‘The Girl On The Train’.
