Payal Kapadia's All We Imagine As Light Finds A Spot In BAFTA Longlist In 3 Categories
On Friday, the British Academy shared the voting results across all 25 categories for the 2024 BAFTA Film Awards.
'All We Imagine As Light' is continuing its international appreciation run across film festivals in the world. Payal Kapadia's film, which has been nominated for the Golden Globes and has now been shortlisted for three prestigious BAFTA awards. On Friday, the British Academy shared the voting results across all 25 categories for the 2024 BAFTA Film Awards.
'All We Imagine As Light' has received three nods in the BAFTA longlist in the Best director, Original Screenplay and Best Film not in the English language category.
Best Film not in the English language category
In the Best Film not in the English language category, 'Alle We Imagine As Light' is competing against 'Black Dog'( Gouzhen), 'The Girl with the Needle', I'm Still Here(Ainda Estou Aqui) 'The Count of Monte Cristo, 'Emilia Perez', 'Flow' , 'Kneecap', 'La Chimera' and 'The Seed of the Sacred Fig'.

According to Variety, 'Emilia Pérez', a Spanish-language music thriller directed by Jacques Audiard has emerged ahead of the race in 15 categories, including best film, director, lead actress and three in the supporting actress list. Meanwhile, 'Conclave', a mystery-thriller from Edward Berger set within the Vatican has 14 nominations, including the best film, lead actor and director category.
