Not depressed for being jobless after 'Citylights': Patralekha
New Delhi: Actress Patralekha received a lot of appreciation for her 'homely' performance in Hansal Mehta's 'Citylight' but the film did not get her the ray of light in the industry.
For last two years, Patralekha has not appeared in any films or even advertisements.
While everyone thought after being critically acclaimed for her portrayal in 'Citylights', she will be flooded with work, the actress had to ask for help from Mahesh Bhatt as she had no work to do.
"Work never trickled down for me after ' Citylights' but it never depressed me because one has to be a fighter. I am in an industry where there are hundred other girls and everybody is good at something or the other, but you have to fight it out. You can only overcome these things with honesty and hard work," said Patralekha to ANI.
In her upcoming flick 'Love Games', Patralekha will be seen in a bold and brave avatar portraying the role of Ramola Raichand, an independent, fierce and unapologetic woman.
Directed by Vikram Bhatt, the film brings the concept of partner swapping and threesome into lime-light.
The film also stars debutant Gaurav Arora and actress Tara Alisha Berry in lead roles. It is slated to arrive in theatres on April 8.
