After Akshay Kumar tweeted hinting at a project "getting into unknown and uncharted territory", there were speculations made that the actor would contest elections. He denies them soon after.

The 'Good News' actor Akshay Kumar took internet by storm hitting the headlines with speculations of him contesting the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 and the reason was a tweet he posted just a few hours ago. Akshay had teased his fans about an upcoming project with a tweet that read - "Getting into an unknown and uncharted territory today. Doing something I have never done before. Excited and nervous both. Stay tuned for updates." Within a few moments of this tweet, the fans began speculating and the news flashed on news channels too wondering if the 'Housefull 4' actor is indeed contesting the elections. The multi-season show is presently under development and aims to appeal to fans of the action-thriller genre worldwide. In an interview to IANS before the official announcement, Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke expressed her excitement about the project, and shared how Akshay played an important role in finding the right subject. "We are announcing the big show with Akshay. It is a big thriller and will be an edge-of-the seat thriller with action and intrigue," Salke told IANS.
