Jug Jugg Jeeyo: Neetu Singh Tests Positive For COVID-19, To Return To Mumbai In Air Ambulance

Neetu Singh's son Ranbir Kapoor has reportedly arranged for an air ambulance for the actress after she tested postive for COVID-19. The shooting for Jug Jugg Jeeyo has been stalled after the actors were found infected with the virus.

New Delhi: Veteran Bollywood actress Neetu Singh, who is making her comeback to films with 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo', has tested positive for COVID-19. The film's director Raj Mehta and Varun Dhawan have also reportedly tested tested positive for the virus. According to a report in Filmfare magazine, the shooting of the upcoming movie has been stalled after the actors were diagnosed with novel Coronavirus. The 'Malang' star took to social media to squash the rumours floating on the internet and inform everyone that his test report came out as negative. He also thanked his fans for their 'concern and good wishes'. According to a report in an entertainment portal, Neetu Kapoor had isolated herself in a separate room in Chandigarh after she tested positive for the virus. The 'Kabhie Kabhie' actress is expected to reach Mumbai via air ambulance. Neetu's son Ranbir Kapoor has made the special arrangement for her mother, the report in ETimes said. It is yet not known if the 'Brahmastra' actor went to Chandigarh to bring back his mommy. Neetu, who was last seen in 'Besharam', will make her comeback to the silver screen with Raj Mehta's 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo'. Last month, the cast and crew commenced shooting for the comedy drama in Chandigarh. Neetu had posted a photo from her make-up room to inform the fans about her return. She expressed her excitement on returning to the sets of a film after several years. "Back on set after so many years. To new beginnings and the magic of the movies. I feel YOUR love and presence. From mom, to Kapoor Sahab, to Ranbir always being with me .. now I find myself all by myself, feeling a little scared, but I know you are always with me," the caption for the post read.
'Jug Jugg Jeeyo' stars Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani in lead roles. The two tinsel town celebs will be play a reel-life couple in the flick. The movie also stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Prajkta Kohli and Maniesh Paul in pivotal roles. The makers are yet to announce the film's release date. Watch this space for more updates!
