Jug Jugg Jeeyo: Anil Kapoor Tests Negative For COVID-19; Thanks Fans For Their Concern & Wishes

Filmmaker Boney Kapoor has confirmed that his brother Anil Kapoor has tested negative for COVID-19. Anil's 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo' co-stars have reportedly tested positive for the virus.

New Delhi: Bollywood stars Varun Dhawan and Neetu Singh, who are shooting for 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo' in Chandigarh', have reportedly tested positive for COVID-19. It was even said that their co-star Anil Kapoor has also tested positive for novel Coronavirus. Contrary to the rumours floating on the internet, the 'Mr. India' actor has tested negative for the virus. According to a report in Filmfare, the shooting for 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo' has been stalled after the actors and director Raaj Mehta were found to be infected with the virus.

Anil Kapoor took to his Insta story to inform his fans that he has tested negative for the virus. He thanked the fans for their concern and wishes. "In the interest of putting any rumors to rest, I have tested negative for COVID-19. Varun Dhawan & Neetu Singh Test Positive For COVID-19

Varun, who is playing the main lead in 'Jug Jug Jeeyo', has tested positive for the virus. Veteran actress Neetu Kapoor has also been infected with COVID-19, the report in the leading magazine said. She will return to the silver screen with the upcoming comedy drama. The 'Kabhie Kabhie' actress was last seen in 'Besharam', which also featured her son Ranbir Kapoor and late Rishi Kapoor. Last month, the cast and crew started the shoot for the upcoming film in Chandigarh. Neetu Kapoor had shared a photo from her make-up room to announce her comeback to films. She wrote, "Back on set after so many years. To new beginnings and the magic of the movies. I feel YOUR love and presence. From mom, to Kapoor Sahab, to Ranbir always being with me .. now I find myself all by myself, feeling a little scared, but I know you are always with me."

First Look Of Jug Jugg Jeeyo

Last month, Kiara Advani and Varun Dhawan shared their first look from the film on Instagram. The two tinsel town celebs, who are playing a reel-life couple in the flick, twinned in blue while posing for the camera.

Cast Of Jug Jugg Jeeyo

Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Neetu Singh and Anil Kapoor will be seen in key roles in the flick. Popular YouTuber Prajakta Kohli aka MostlySane will make her Bollywood debut with the film. Maniesh Paul has also bagged a pivotal role in 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo'. The makers are yet to announce a release date.

Bollywood Celebs Who Tested Positive For COVID-19

Several Bollywood stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor had tested positive for the virus. Filmmaker Nikhil Dwivedi was also diagnosed with COVID-19 last month. Watch this space for more updates!
