Mumbai Man With Phone Number Similar To Rhea Chakraborty Receives Threat Calls, SMS
A Mumbai based man identified as Sagar Surve has a phone number similar to 'Jalebi' actress but differs by a single digit.
New Delhi: A 32-year-old man from Mumbai's Thane area has reportedly been getting hundreds of torturous calls and abusive messages for having a phone number that is similar to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's girlfriend and actress Rhea Chakraborty.

News agency IANS reported that a few days ago, some social media sites and television channels flashed the purported number of Rhea. Since then, the man identified as Sagar Surve of Navi Mumbai area, has been undergoing sleepless nights.
According to the reports, Surve has been the target of abusive calls, trolls, messages, video calls and harassment for over a week now. He initially could not understand why was he receiving those calls. Soon he realised that his phone number is similar to 'Jalebi' actress but differ by a single digit.
Shaken by the incident, Surve has blocked over a 100 callers. He even avoided using his social media accounts for a few days to avoid disturbing messages.

The report stated that Navi Mumbai Police advised the man to even switch off his phone for some time. Surve is reportedly using a friend's number for his routine work now days.
The police officials were quoted saying as "it's a case of mistaken phone number. There's little that can be done to check the menace. However, the victim has been advised to use an alternate number till the calls and messages subside."
