#MeToo: Dalip Tahil gets co-actress to record consent before filming rape scene for web series 'Hostages'
65 yr old veteran actor seen in multiple films and television series is currently shooting for a web series titled 'Hostages' for which he had to shoot a rape scene but he had a pre-condition before he went ahead with the shoot. According to a TOI report the senior artiste refused to enact the rape scene and demanded a confirmation letter from the actress featuring in the scene stating that she is comfortable shooting it and is doing so without pressure. Dalip did so in the wake of the ongoing #MeToo movement in India.
Adapted from an Israeli show, web series 'Hostages' demanded the rape scene and according to the TOI report, Dalip wasn't satisfied even with the written consent. He wanted the consent recorded in a video that serves as a visual proof. He also asked the actress to record her statement on camera in which she has stated that she has performed that scene without any pressure and that she was satisfied with the security measures on the set.

When filmmaker Sudhir Mishra, who is creatively involved with the show, was approached in the matter, he told TOI, “While I am not the best person to comment on this, I am sure they have followed the right measures. I wasn’t on the set, but a woman director was in charge of the shoot.”
