New Delhi: Ever since it was announced that Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan will star together in Imtiaz Ali’s next, their fans have not been able to control their excitement. Speculations were rife that Sara’s dad Saif Ali Khan will be part of ‘Love Aaj Kal 2’. It was said that the ‘Cocktail’ actor would play a pivotal role in the film. However, contrary to the rumours floating on the internet, Saif has confirmed that he is not part of the sequel of ‘Love Aaj Kal’. Love Aaj Kal 2: Sara & Kartik spotted shooting for the film in Delhi, Check out ON-SET photo (PIC & VIDEO) Saif Ali Khan, while talking to an entertainment portal, said that Imtiaz offered him the film but he didn’t sign the project. "I'd honestly want to play every role provided it's interesting enough and if the time permitted it. Though Imtiaz was very kind to offer me a part in the sequel of Love Aaj Kal, I haven't signed the film contrary to the rumours. It's a lovely movie and I'm very excited in particular that Sara is working with Imtiaz Ali. I wish both the young stars, Sara and Kartik, the best," the ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ actor told Pinkvilla. For the uninitiated, Saif Ali Khan starred opposite Deepika Padukone in ‘Love Aaj Kal’. The film was a box office success. On the professional front, Saif has couple of exciting projects in his kitty including ‘Sacred Games 2’, ‘Hunter’, ‘Jaawani Jaaneman’ and ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’.
