Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Anil Kapoor REVEALS why he didn’t cast his vote

Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor revealed the reason why he couldn't vote in the Lok Sabha Elections 2019.

New Delhi: The counting of votes for 542 Lok Sabha seats is currently underway and the early trends suggest that BJP will sweep away the polls. The entire country is waiting with bated breath to know the results of the Lok Sabha Elections 2019. Last month, leading Bollywood celebs including Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Salman Khan and Malaika Arora casted their votes in Mumbai. However, Akshay Kumar and Anil Kapoor were missing at the pooling booth. Akshay even faced a lot of flak on social media for not turning up for voting. The ‘Kesari’ actor later issued a statement on social media. Anil Kapoor, while talking to reporters at an even, revealed the reason why he didn’t cast his vote in the elections. The ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ actor said that he was out of country that time and hence could participate in the electoral process. Anil said that he was with his doctor in Munich and he made that appointment one-and-a-half year ago. He added that he has calcification in his shoulder and his appointment was on the same date as voting in Mumbai. "I was with my doctor in Munich kyunki yeh appointment maine 1-1.5 saal pehle li thi. Jaise ki sabko pata hai, I have this calcification in my shoulder and exactly usi din meri appointment thi. 4 din ki appointment hoti hai, toh Sunita aur main dono wahaan Munich mein the," Anil Kapoor was quoted as saying by in.com. The ‘Mr. India’ actor also said that he tried to find out if he could vote in the embassy. "Humne wahaan embassy mein bhi koshish ki, magar wahaan yeh sab cheezein nahi thi, ki hum wahaan jaa kar vote kar sake. Mujhe lagta hai future mein yeh hona chahiye ki kahin bhi hum ho, kuch embassy mein jaa ke hum vote de sake. That will be very good," the actor said. Anil Kapoor had earlier requested his fans to actively participate in elections and cast their vote. On the professional front, Anil Kapoor was last seen in ‘Total Dhamaal’. The 62-year-old actor has ‘Takht’, ‘Pagalpanti’ and ‘Malang’ in his kitty. Watch this space for more updates!
