Kareena Kapoor’s Name Removed From ‘Sita’; Makers Want THIS Actress For The Role
Now, according to the latest big update about this upcoming mythological film Sita – The Incarnation, Kareena Kapoor Khan has never been approached to play the role of Sita.
Mumbai: A couple of days back, a storm started on social media after reports of Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan demanding Rs 12 crores to play the role of ‘Sita’ for an upcoming movie broke out. Netizens started slamming the actress for demanding this whopping amount to portray the role of ‘Sita’ as it allegedly hurt the religious sentiments of some people.
Now, according to the latest big update about this upcoming mythological film Sita – The Incarnation, Kareena Kapoor Khan has never been approached to play the role of Sita. In fact, according to media reports, the writer of this upcoming film KV Vijayendra Prasad revealed that he his choice of actress to play the role of ‘Sita’ is none other than Kangana Ranaut.
KV Vijayendra Prasad is the father of popular filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli and has written scripts for movies like ‘RRR’, ‘Manikarnika’, ‘Thalaivi’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, ‘Baahubali’ and others. The film will release in five different languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
Earlier this year, while interacting with Mid-Day, KV Vijayendra Prasad spoke about the upcoming film and told, “I don’t think any actor has been approached for Sita’s role, to my knowledge. We have just started writing the script. Once done, we will search for a young actor to play the title role. The film will have considerable footage of a young Sita, showcasing her life before marriage to Ram.”
Meanwhile, speaking about Kareena Kapoor Khan, the actress will be next seen featuring opposite Aamir Khan in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ which is the remake of the Hollywood film starring Tom Hanks – ‘Forrest Gump’.
