'Kalank' gets new release date, teaser to drop on Tuesday!

New Delhi: The much-awaited multi-starrer 'Kalank' which was supposed to release on April 19 is now coming to the theatres near you two days earlier, on April 17. Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted "IT'S FINAL... #Kalank to release on 17 April 2019 [was slated for release on 19 April 2019 initially]... Will be a 5-day *extended* opening weekend... Teaser will be out on 12 March 2019." Take a look at his post below: Karan Johar, who is bankrolling the film, took to his Instagram and announced that the teaser will be out on Tuesday. He shared a small clip which features the character posters of the cast of the film. He captioned the video as, "The world of #Kalank will come alive. Teaser out on Tuesday, 12th March!"

'Kalank' actor Varun Dhawan: I'm with Natasha because she has her own individuality The character posters which feature in the clip were released recently. The posters of the three men of 'Kalank' came out on March 7 and the leading ladies' first looks were revealed on International Women's Day (March 8). Varun Dhawan will be seen essaying the role of Zafar, who is ready to fight with life and danger, while Aditya Roy Kapur will play the role of Dev Chaudhry, who defines nobility. On the other hand, Sanjay Dutt will be essaying the role of Balraj Chaudhry, who has the most powerful voice on the table. Madhuri Dixit will play the character of Bahaar Begum, Sonakshi Sinha plays the character of Satya, while Alia Bhatt will be playing the role of Roop. Kalank is one of Karan’s most anticipated films of all times, considering its star-studded cast. Karan on Wednesday shared an emotional note along with the first look of his upcoming production. The filmmaker went onto share that how much the film, that was conceptualised 15 years ago and one on which even his late father Yash Johar worked on, meant to him. Set in the 40s, the film was envisioned by Yash Johar and Karan tried to make it a reality. Helmed by Abhishek Varman, ‘Kalank’ is a period drama and stars Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, and Aditya Roy Kapur. This will be Alia and Varun's fourth collaboration after working together in blockbusters like 'Student of the Year', 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' and 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania'.
