Late actor Irrfan Khan’s wife Sutapa Sikdar shared an emotional post for her son Babil Khan on social media and it will definitely touch the strings of your heart. Sutapa posted a picture from the Filmfare Awards 2021 wherein her son Babil can be seen crying. Babil couldn’t control his tears while Rajkummar Rao and Ayushmann Khurrana paid tribute to his father at the awards night. 

Babil broke into tears while accepting the award on his father’s behalf at the recently held Filmfare Awards 2021. Sutapa penned a heartfelt poem to express her thoughts on her son getting emotional.

Babil will make his acting debut with 'Qala', which is being produced by Anushka Sharma under her home banner. The film co-starring Tripti Dimri will premiere directly on Netflix. Babil shared a video to announce his movie along with the caption, "From the creators of Bulbbul, Clean Slate Filmz and Anvita Dutt, we bring you #Qala, a Netflix Original film. Qala will be here soon to share her story of her fight for a place in her mother's heart." |

Irrfan Khan was posthumously honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to Indian cinema at Filmfare Awards. he also bagged the Best Actor in a Leading Role award for his performance in ‘Angrezi Medium’.

Angrezi Medium’, which also starred Radhika Madan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, couldn’t enjoy a long theatrical run due to the COVID-19 crisis.     

Irrfan passed away on April 29, 2020 due to colon infection. Several tinsel town celebs including Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone mourned his death on social media.
