'I Have Been Pure Natural...': Irrfan Khan's Son Babil Slams Journalists For Asking If 'He Was High' At Filmfare Awards 2021
Irrfan Khan's son Babil Khan, who attended the Filmfare Awards 2021, slammed few journalists for asking if 'he was high'.
Late Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan was honoured with the Best Actor Award for his performance in ‘Angrezi Medium’ at the Filmfare Awards 2021, which were held on Saturday (March 27). The ‘Piku’ star, who passed away on April 29, 2020, was also honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to Indian cinema.
Irrfan’s elder son Babil Khan attended the gala event, which was organised his Mumbai. He expressed his displeasure over the questions that were asked by the journalists at the red carpet. He said that seven journalists asked him if ‘he was high because of the shape of his eyes’.
“Just wanted to share you all that I attended the Filmfare Awards yesterday and seven journalists asked me if I was high just because of the shape of my eyes. Well done guys. Great inquisitive research that you have conducted because I have been pure natural since I left university, really good job. You made me feel so nice by telling me that my natural face looked like I was high. Thank you so much for that. I will use that look and make millions in Bollywood,” his post read.
Babil Khan Shares Post After His Father Wins Two Awards At Filmfare 2021
Irrfan won several Filmfare Awards for his peformances in different films. Sharing a picture of his awards, Babil wrote, "Thank you FILMFARE! Even after he has departed you have recognised his commitment to his craft. We as a family are so grateful."
Ayushmann Khurrana Dedicates Post To Irrfan Khan
Ayushmann Khurrana met Babil for the first time at the 66th Filmfare Awards. He dedicated a long post for Irrfan on social media after presenting the award to his son Babil at the awards ceremony.
"This is somewhere in Bandra. But he is somewhere resting in peace. Celebrating his double win. Forever Irfan! Best Actor (male) and the lifetime achievement award! I had the honour of presenting this @filmfare award to @babil.i.k. Met this beautiful boy for the first time. Would see him do well in future," the 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui' star wrote.
Babil dropped a comment on the post. He wrote, "I love you brother."
Irrfan Khan was posthumously nominated in category of ‘Best Actor’ for ‘Dil Bechara’ at the Filmfare Awards 2021 along with Sushant Singh Rajput, Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Rajkummar Rao and Ayushmann Khurrana. The 'Paan Singh Tomar' star passed away due to colon infection.
Irrfan Khan starrer 'Angrezi Medium' couldn't enjoy a long run at the box office due to the COVID-19 lockdown. The comedy drama co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Radhika Madan was later made available for viewing on Dinsye+ Hotstar.
