The official statement from the makers read, "The Houseful! franchise owes its massive success to the audiences, and we hope for a similar reception for Houseful! 5. The team has crafted an absolutely mind-blowing story that demands top-notch VFX. Therefore, we've made the decision to push the release to ensure we deliver five times the entertainment with great cinematic experience.”
Sajid Nadiadwala is producing the movie. Tarun Mansukhani will serve as the director. Prior to this, the Housefull 5 cast had only one actor confirmed by the film crew: Riteish Deshmukh. He has been a franchise mainstay alongside Akshay Kumar since 2010. Most likely, they'll be back with a new cast.
Sajid Khan directed Housefull 1 (2010) and Housefull 2 (2012). Sajid-Farhad was the director of Housefull 3. Farhad Samji was the sole one who directed the fourth and final installment.
Alongside Akshay and Riteish, the first installment starred Arjun Rampal, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone, Jiah Khan, Boman Irani, and Chunky Pandey. In the second, John Abraham was accompanied by Asin and Jacqueline Fernandez. The late Rishi Kapoor was featured in the movie as well.
Abhishek Bachchan joined Lisa Haydon, Jacqueline, and Nargis Fakhri in Housefull 3. In Housefull 4, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, and Kriti Kharbanda joined the cast, but Ritiesh and Akshay stayed the same.
