HELLO HALL OF FAME AWARDS: Ravnveer Singh gets ‘Best Entertainer’ title but dedicates it to late actress Sridevi
New Delhi: Sunday was a starry night in Bollywood as awards season kicked off with ‘Hello Hall Of Fame’ awards. Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Rekha, Deepika Padukone, Kriti Sanon, Sidharth Malhotra and obviously Ranveer Singh stunned on the Red carpet.
But well, it was Ranveer Singh who won everyone’s heart in the award ceremony. We all know that Ranveer’s performance in hit film ‘Padmaavat’ was outstanding despite of the fact that he was a villain in the film.
With this Ranveer Singh got Best Entertainer Award for his acting as ‘Khilji’. When actor received the award and was on stage, he said something that touched each person sitting there. Bajirao Mastani actor dedicated his award to late legendary actress Sridevi Kapoor. As per news in Bollywoodlife, Ranveer said, “Thank you Hello. Thank you, Sanjay Sir for giving me the opportunity to push the envelope and my craft to showcase my ability as a performer and to create a character that will hopefully be remembered in Indian cinema. Entertainer of the year: It’s my first award for Padmaavat, first award for Alauddin Khilji. I would like to dedicate this entertainer of the year award to one of the greatest entertainer’s of all times – Sridevi Ji. Her contribution to Indian cinema is peerless. She will be dearly missed, fondly remembered but her legacy will shine on for those who she has inspired and I am most certainly one of them. So this is to you. Thank you so so much ladies & gentlemen.”
On a related note, Ranveer’s this year is going to be quite busy as he is doing 3 films, ‘Gully Boy’, ‘Simmba’ and ‘1983 (Kapil Dev)’.
