'I Do Not Even...': Govinda REACTS After KRK Thanks Him For 'Love & Support' Amid Legal Tussle With Salman Khan
KRK, who is engaged in a legal fight with Salman Khan, mentioned Govinda in a tweet and thanked him for the 'love and support'. Here's how the 'Coolie No.1' star reacted to KRK's claims.
Mumbai: Bollywood actor Govinda has refuted Kamal Rashid Khan’s claims that he extended support to the self-proclaimed critic in his legal tussle with Salman Khan. The ‘Coolie No.1’ star has clarified that KRK’s tweet could be for someone else with the same name.
Govinda cleared the air about the rumours of him supporting KRK after Salman filed a defamation case against him for ‘publishing and endorsing defamatory allegations’.
KRK had shared a post on Twitter to thank Govinda for the ‘love and support’, which set several tongues wagging. "Govinda Bhai thank you for your love and support. I won't disappoint you,” KRK’s tweet read.
Govinda, while talking to a leading news agency, said that he is not in touch with Kamal Rashid Khan for several years. He added that the actor-turned-critic even wrote ‘unfit statements’ about him and his films in the past.
"I read some media reports about me backing KRK. I am not in touch with KRK for years altogether -- no meetings, no phone calls, and no messages. It could be some other person by the same name as I am not being tagged in the tweet. In fact, the self-proclaimed critic had spoken and written unfit statements about me and my movies in the past," the ‘Dulhe Raja’ actor told IANS.
The ‘Aunty No.1’ star called in an ‘agenda’ to ‘create nuisance’ amid the COVID-19 crisis. He told IANS that he has no idea about the issues between Salman and KRK.
Salman and Govinda worked together in David Dhawan's 'Partner', which released in 2007. The movie also starred Katrina Kaif and Lara Dutta.
Last week, Salman's legal team issued a statement to announce that the 'Bharat' actor slapped KRK with a defamation suit as he was 'spreading malicious falsehoods' and defaming him since several months. DSK Legal, who represents Khan, said that KRK's review of 'Radhe' had nothing to do with the defamation case.
According to the statement, KRK cannot share any defamatory post against Salman on social media till the next date of hearing.
