Genelia D’Souza Confirms Testing Positive For COVID-19, Says 'Happy To Back....'

Genelia D’Souza confirmed that she tested positive for COVID-19 three weeks ago. The actress also revealed she was observing isolation since the past 21 days.

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Genelia D’Souza took to social media to inform her fans that she has recovered from COVID-19. The ‘Force’ actress issued a statement and said that she had tested positive for novel Coronavirus three weeks. She revealed that she was asymptomatic for the last 21 days.  Genelia, who is happily married to Riteish Deshmukh, said that she is happy to be back with her family members. I was asymptomatic for last 21 days. With god's grace I tested negative today. As much as I count my blessings that my battle with this disease has been much easier but at the same time I must admit that these 21 days in isolation have been the most challenging for me to deal with," Genelia said in a statement. The 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na' actress suggested her followers to get tested for COVID-19 early. "No amount of Facetime and digital immersion can kill the evil of loneliness. I am happy to be back with my family and loved ones. Surround yourselves with love that's true strength and it's all one needs. Test early, eat healthy, stay fit- the only way to fight this monster," she further said.
Mushtaq Sheikh and Pulkrit Samrat dropped comments on the post. Sheikh wrote, "Love you Gene. More power to you." Fans also commented on the post and prayed for Genelia's health. (Source- Instagram) Genelia, who turned a year older on August 5, received a special birthday wish from her hubby Riteish. The 'Housefull 4' actor shared a cosy photo with his ladylove along with the caption, "You are my bestest friend, my eternal laughter,  my partner in crime, my happiness, my guide, my enthusiasm, my excitement, my light, my life, my everything. Wishing you a very Happy Birthday Baiko - growing young with you is a blessing. @geneliad #HappyBirthdayGenelia."
Last month, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, his son Abhishek, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai and granddaughter Aaradhyaa tested positive for COVID-19. They have now recovered from the virus after undergoing treatment at Lilavati hospital.
