Farhan Akhtar Wishes Daughter Shakya On Birthday With Heartfelt Post, Shares Cute Throwback Pic

Farhan Akhtar treated the fans with a throwback snap of his daughter Shakya while wishing her on her 21st birthday.

Mumbai: Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar took to social media to share a heartfelt post for his daughter Shakya Akhtar, who turned a year older on Saturday (August 7). The ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ star posted a throwback snap with her daughter to wish her on his official Instagram. He penned a sweet note for the birthday girl and said that he ‘loves her more with every passing day’. 

How Farhan Akhtar Wished His Daughter? 

The ‘Rock On’ star was all praises for his daughter, who is celebrating her 21st birthday. He wrote, “Happy 21 Shakya. @chatdelalune Seeing you grow into a strong, independent, fierce woman has been one of the biggest joys of my life. So proud of you. Love you more with each passing day. Pa.”

Shakya's Aunt Zoya Akhtar Shares Sweet Post

Farhan Akhtar's sister Zoya Akhtar shared a picture wherein Shakya can be seen smiling while posing for the camera. The 'Dil Dhadakne Do' director wrote, "My Fav Leo. Happy Birthday Shakya. You light up the world." Shabana Azmi and Farah Khan posted cute comments to wish her.

Shabana wrote, "Salgirah mubarak Shakya . Jeete raho khush raho bahut saara pyar" while Farah commented, "Oh myyy godddd! She s grown n how. Happy birthday darling."

Shakya is the daughter of Farhan Akhtar and and his former wife Adhuna Bhabnani. Farhan and Adhuna parted ways after sixteen years of marriage. The former couple is also parents to Akira Akhtar.  

On the professional front, Farhan was recently seen in Rakesyh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Toofan’. The sports drama skipped a theatrical route and premiered directly on Amazon Prime Video. Movie buffs and critics lauded Akhtar’s power-packed performance in the sports drama co-starring Paresh Rawal and Mrunal Thakur.  

‘Toofan’ registered the biggest opening for a Hindi film in its first week on Amazon Prime Video. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the movie managed to perform quite well on the streaming giant.
