Diljit Dosanjh’s Fun Video With Anees Bazmee Puts A Lid On No Entry 2 Exit Speculation

Diljit Dosanjh called Anees Bazmee his “favourite director” in a playful video, subtly dismissing rumours of his exit from No Entry 2 and hinting he’s still very much part of the film.

After earlier reports suggested Diljit Dosanjh had walked away from 'No Entry 2', the actor-singer appears to have subtly cleared the air, without saying much at all. On Wednesday, Diljit shared a cheerful Instagram video featuring none other than director Anees Bazmee, and the mood was anything but tense.

In the clip, Diljit is seen laughing and chatting with Bazmee. “Bazmee saab story suna rahe hai... mere favourite director hai... idhar Boney Kapoor ji kehte hai ishq di gali vich no entry,” he says playfully, referring to both Bazmee and producer Boney Kapoor. While short and casual, the light-hearted comment seemed enough to put a lid on the exit rumours that had been swirling for weeks.

Reports of Diljit Dosanjh quitting No Entry 2

Earlier this year, Filmfare had reported that Diljit had backed out of 'No Entry 2' over creative disagreements. A source had claimed, “Diljit was very excited to collaborate with Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor. But over the last few weeks, he couldn't align with the film’s creative ideas. That's why he decided to leave the project due to creative differences.”

However, Boney Kapoor promptly refuted the claims in a statement to Hindustan Times, saying, “Yes, there are date issues, but certainly no creative differences. That is absolutely false. We are trying our best to work the dates out.”

Director Anees Bazmee had also expressed hope that scheduling conflicts would be ironed out soon, hinting that they weren’t ready to part ways with Diljit just yet.

About No Entry 2

Unlike the 2005 original, which featured Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan, the sequel will introduce a new lead trio, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, and Diljit Dosanjh. Tamannaah Bhatia is also expected to join the ensemble.

The updated star cast has generated plenty of excitement among fans of both the original and the newer-gen stars, with many eager to see Diljit bring his signature comic timing to the franchise.

Diljit Dosanjh's latest release

While the 'No Entry 2' buzz continues, Diljit is riding a wave of success with 'Sardaar Ji 3', which, despite not releasing in India, has become the highest-grossing Punjabi film of the year overseas, raking in ₹42.60 crore internationally.

The actor is currently shooting for 'Border 2', where he will be seen alongside Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty. The patriotic action-drama is slated for a Republic Day weekend release on January 23, 2026.
