New Delhi: The festival of ‘Diwali’ is also popularly known as the festival of lights. People celebrate the festival by wearing new clothes and lighting diyas and candles. ‘Dhanteras’ marks the first day of ‘Diwali’ in our country. Lord Dhanvantari is worshipped on this day and as this festival marks the onset of the festival of lights, Bollywood celebrities have already started wishing their fans on their social media. Celebrities including Sara Ali Khan, Malaika Arora and others sent out wishes on the auspicious occasion of ‘Dhanteras’.

Sara Ali Khan treated her fans with a ‘Knock Knock’ video with her co-star from ‘Coolie No. 1’ Varun Dhawan. Sharing the video, she wrote, “Happy Dhanteras to everyone. Wishing you all- lots of health, wealth and dry fruits!”
Varun Dhawan also shared the same video and wrote, “HAPPY DHANTERAS @saraalikhan95 cracks a knockout joke. #coolieno1”
Malaika Arora shared a video on her Instagram. Her caption for the post read, “'Dhanteras aur Diwali ke iss shubh avsar par kaamna karti hoon ki aap sabhi ke ghar pe Laxmiji ka niwaas ho aur Corona ka naash ho”
